What is a Dependent Care FSA?

A Dependent Care FSA lets you set aside pre-tax money from your paycheck to pay for childcare or dependent care expenses. Because the money comes out before taxes, you keep more of what you earn โ€” saving up to 30% on costs you're already paying.

The IRS allows up to $5,000 per household per year. Eligible expenses include daycare, preschool, summer day camp, before/after school programs, and care for a disabled dependent.

How You Save
Money is deducted from your paycheck before taxes. If you're in a 25% tax bracket and contribute $5,000, you save roughly $1,500 in taxes.
๐Ÿ‘ถ
Who Qualifies
Children under age 13, or a disabled spouse, child, or elderly parent who can't care for themselves.

How It Works
You choose an annual amount during enrollment. A pre-tax deduction is taken from each bi-weekly paycheck and deposited into your FSA account โ€” then you spend it however you need on eligible care. Employees with 1+ year of service receive a 35% employer match plus a one-time $250 seed contribution.
