Running Since 2012
Annual Toy Drive
Every child deserves the joy of receiving a gift. Since 2012, BLH has been collecting and delivering toys to children in foster care, hospitals, and homeless shelters — making sure the holiday season reaches even the hardest-to-reach kids.
What we have accomplished
What We Have Accomplished
The numbers tell a warm story. Since our first toy drive in 2012, the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners has added up to something remarkable:
68,293
toys collected and delivered to children in need — arranged by age and presented in person by our specialists.
Toys include board games, building sets, sports equipment, action figures, and more — chosen thoughtfully for each child's age and interests. Our team schedules personal visits so every gift is given with care, not just dropped off.
Who we serve and our partners
Who Receives These Gifts
Our annual toy drive reaches children who might otherwise be overlooked during the holiday season:
- Children in foster care placement.
- Children experiencing homelessness.
- Children staying in hospitals over the holidays.
Our Partners
We are grateful to work alongside organizations that share our commitment to children and families. Our long-standing partners in the Annual Toy Drive include:
- Toys for Tots — the national program that has delivered toys to millions of children for decades.
- Cheverly United Methodist Church — a community partner whose congregation has helped us collect and distribute gifts year after year.
- Local shelters serving women and children throughout the region.
